Tampa Lawyer Tom Scarritt taught the first grade class of San Jose Elementary School in Dunedin, Florida with his daughter, Teacher Mallory Scarritt, on November 18, 2015. This smart and lively group of young students learned about what it was like to be a trial lawyer and a stage actor. The first question raised by the class was: “Can you make yourself disappear?”
The Great American Teach-In has for 30 years brought students together with firefighters, dog trainers, cake decorators, nurses, and others who explain what they do and how school got them there. There were 600 participants in Pinellas County and over 8,000 nationally.
