Tampa Lawyer Tom Scarritt taught at San Jose Elementary School in Dunedin, Florida with his daughter, first grade teacher Mallory Scarritt, on November 16, 2016. This smart and lively group of young students learned about what it is like to be a trial lawyer and a stage actor, and how reading and other classes make it possible. The children participated in "acting exercises" by using their imaginations with common household items to creatively demonstrate various activities.
The Great American Teach-In has for over 30 years brought students together with firefighters, dog trainers, cake decorators, nurses, and others who explain what they do and how school got them there. Over 8,000 "teachers" participated across the country.
